Team Work - Detailed

Paul Larson (plars)

Progress:

  • Submitted first pass of dashboard plugin for Abrek, with setup command to handle server/auth configuration
  • Reviewed some branches
  • Looking at xml-rpc commands and the test server that Zygmunt set up
  • Started discussions with Deepti to get her up to speed
  • Wrote up some plans for QA

Issues:

  • None currently

Plans:

  • Continue working with Deepti on getting started with the team
  • Talk to Landing teams about how to make Abrek something really useful for them

James Westby (james_w)

Progress:

  • Got a first usable version of hwpack-create, with most of it reviewed.
    • - Waiting on TSC approval of the license due to using python-apt. - Two required changes identified from feedback.
  • Wrote a quick lexbuilder backend to run hwpack-create to build a set of hwpacks. Awaiting review from Cody.
  • Experimented with hudson as a CI tool with good success. Started a discussion about whether we wanted CI at this point.
  • Discussions about the new feature process with various people. In general the feedback has been positive, with some specific suggestions.
  • Reviews for others in the team.

Issues:

  • No progress on arm-m-derived-archive-rebuild again.

Plans:

  • Make required changes to hwpack-create.
  • Push to get lexbuilder backend reviewed and rolled out.
  • Write documentation on using and creating hardware packs.
  • Pick up arm-m-derived-archive-rebuild again.

Zygmunt Krynicki (zyga)

Progress:

  • Pushed additional RPC methods for review (put, get, bundles, streams). Got feedback from Paul and James. There is some more work that needs to be done before it is accepted. The tests in particular need to be more robust and need to interact with django database testing better.
  • Pushed lc-tool.py command counterparts for review
  • Fixed several issues in XML-RPC
  • Started writing deployment instructions for apache and cherokee

Plans:

  • Continue merging RPC branch
  • Merge data decomposition codd
  • Merge views
  • Work with Paul and IS to get a demo up and running

Issues:

  • Slow progress, no views or data decomposition under review yet

Michael Hudson (mwhudson)

Progress:

  • (arm-m-image-building-console)
    • "Implement DB schema migration": INPROGRESS
      • Agreement on what to do.
    • "Fix deployment path. Currently deployed to /srv": INPROGRESS
      • Agreement that my branch that's up for review isn't really going to work. Have some ideas on how to fix, related to dependency management approach.
    • "Decide on dependency management approach (debs/buildout/...)": INPROGRESS Had a good dialogue, we know the outlines of a solution now (use virtualenv and pip)
    • "Sources.list passwords:" TODO
      • Decided to just disable the problematic feature in the open source version. The feature is nice, but only works because of precise details of OEM's set up at the moment.
  • Not blueprinted:
    • Sent some lexbuilder feedback.
    • Some code review/feedback for other team members.
    • Had initial chat with new team member (Deepti).
    • Imported gdb 7.2 branch using bzr-git for michaelh1.
    • Continued systematically looking through lexbuilder source.

Plans:

  • (arm-m-image-building-console)
    • "Decide on dependency management approach (debs/buildout/...)": This is nearly done really.
    • "Implement dependency management": Do this. An immediate thing to do is to try to use mod_wsgi with a virtualenv, to make sure that this won't disrupt OEM deployments. Otherwise, I've implemented this once, I just need to do it in a cleaner way.
    • "Email addresses for notifications need to be configurable": there is a Django app that makes this very easy, so I should look at this.
    • Another call about open sourcing on Friday -- aiming for short, frequent calls on all open sourcing issues.
  • Not blueprinted:
    • Receive Beagle xM, set it up as a lexbuilder slave, do at least one test build.
    • Continue to support Deepti.

Guilherme Salgado (salgado)

Deepti Kalakeri (deepti)

  • Spoke to Michael Hudson and understood some of the process in Linaro.

Ian Smith (ismith)

Progress:

  • Worked with Anmar to ship multiple boards to engineers.
  • Continued with some competitive analysis
  • Looking into some processes for the Infrastructure team
  • Sorting out HWPacks licence application to the TSC
