Mail Meeting log

[Administrative stuff]========================
* Sorry for the late meeting mail here, things have been busy this week.

* Anton: Your status reports and responses to these meeting mails have been sporadic. Is your workload ok or are you getting overwhelmed? I don't have much visibility into your work, and if it doesn't get better we may have to move to phone meetings.

* Launchpad added support for work items in the blueprints. Please migrate work items from the white-board to the work items section.

[Lowmemory killer]===============================
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linux-linaro/+spec/android-lowmem-upstreaming

* Anton: We're half way through March, and nothing has been marked completed. Could you update the blueprint with what you have done this month?

* I *still* owe you a review of your ulmkd code. Apologies!

* Have you manged to get ulmkd integrated and running on an Android image?

[Interactive cpu-freq gov]=======================
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linux-linaro/+spec/cpufreq-latency-improvements

 * Anton: Once again, Still need some monthly granularity & finer grained work items in the blue print. Right now there's no visibility into your plans here.

* No updates? No progress?

[ashmem]==========================================
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linux-linaro/+spec/android-ashmem-upstreaming

* Simplified locking and reworked fadvise patchset a bit. Sent current work out to lkml for review/comment.

* I'm frustrated with my own progress here. One release per month is way too slow.

* I'm planning on trying a different approach here, using page flags instead of tracking file ranges. Still learning quite a bit about VM code.

[monotonic evdev]=================================
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linux-linaro/+spec/android-evdev-upstreaming

 * No updates. Still queued for 3.4

[alarmtimer mending]==============================
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linux-linaro/+spec/android-alarmtimer-mending

 * No updates. Portions still queued for 3.4

[Misc]===============================================

* Stupid amount of timekeeping issues popping up and distracting me. I have no clue why they're all popping up now.

Well, I must admit that my efficiency is quite low atm, maybe I'm
burned out a bit.

Actually, my fatigue pursues me from the MV times (had to quickly
finish a few important projects), and as I didn't have any break
in between switching the jobs, my tiredness is getting worse.

All in all, I want to focus on finishing LMK stuff asap, and get
some vacation (so getting things done is in my interests .

I built ULMK using Android NDK fine (had to get over a few
NDK glitches), and it's even able to run on a goldfish. Though it
isn't very useful as goldfish uses very old kernels (memcg is
non-functional there).

Will have to try some different target; either pandaboard or
android-x86, preferably.

As for the phone meetings, now I think that that's actually a good
idea to try. Maybe that'll shake me up.

"Run userspace LMK on an Android image (i.e. build for ARM w/ Android
NDK? Prepare apk?)" This one is half-done.

And I still work on cgroups/vmevents bugfixes and enhacements. I plan
to send a bunch of patches tomorrow evening.

Nope, no updates, sorry.
