New Hardware Pack

In order to get a new hardware pack built daily and published to (i.e. a public hardware pack) you need to do the following:

  1. Branch one of the existing hwpack branches from

  2. "bzr mv" the file in the "hwpacks" directory in the branch to the name of your hwpack
  3. Edit/replace that file with the hwpack config for your board (see HardwarePacks for more on this)

  4. Run "linaro-hwpack-create hwpacks/<name of your hwpack file> 1" and check that it completes successfully.

  5. Run linaro-media-create passing the just created hwpack (in the dir where you ran linaro-hwpack-create) and check that it completes successfully. Boot the board with the image you just created and test that it works.
  6. Either push that to "lp:~linaro-maintainers/linaro-images/hwpack.release.hwpack name", or push it somewhere else and ask a member of ~linaro-maintainers to do it for you if you are not a member.

  7. Request one of JamieBennett or SteveLangasek create a build for you. In order to do this they need to know the name of your hwpack, and the location of the branch that you created in the previous step.

  8. Once that is set up you need to file an RT ticket to request that the results be synced to TODO: how do you know the URL to sync from?
