Using Rony's tree.
HIGHMEM is needed for 2 GB of memory.
u-boot doesn't recognise the USB host either.
The USB device is OK with a self powered hub. Can get Ethernet!
SPL seems to set the core speed. A reflash of u-boot/spl/smdk5250-spl.bin gives 1400 MHz.
USB host shows a SMSC 0424:3503 three port hub. Can't find it on the board. Nothing downstream.
Try the Android prebuilt zImage. uImage it first:
- mkimage -A arm -O linux -T kernel -C none -a 0x40008000 -e 0x40008000 -d arndale_prebuilt_zImage uImage
Stops at Uncompressing Linux. Probably needs the rebuilt SPL and u-boot.
The DTB lists a hub-reset and hub-connect GPIO. XuHostPWREN comes out of the CPU board to pin 73. Measuring C97 suggests this is low.
samsung,hub-reset = <&gpx3 5 1 0 3>; samsung,hub-connect = <&gpd1 7 1 0 3>;
As u-boot can't see it, it could need to be SPL/u-boot enabled.
u-boot's ehci-exynos does the same reset sequence.
GPX3 is /sys/class/gpio/gpiochip180. So gpx3:5 is gpio185.
setenv bootargs root=/dev/sda1 rw rootwait console=ttySAC2,115200n8 init --no-log
