Card review

Close out

New Cards

  • GRUB Support for network boot

    • Jon: is this 32-bit? there are several options incl gummiboot, the kernel as an EFI app, etc. Why not working on UEFI-Linux booting for v8 directly?
    • Rob: GRUB2 needs major rework in AArch64 assembly
    • Andrea: trigger email thread with Leif and Grant to clarify
  • OpenSSL optimisations - ARMv7

    • Rob, Kiko: congratulations, if Russell accepts the first patches in such a smooth way it really means that Ard did a great job!
    • Kiko: the scope and initiative of the work are very interesting, well done!
  • CRC algorithm prototyping for ARMv8

    • Ilias: card 652 covers the porting and functional validation of the algorithm but no system performance evaluation or benchmarking is possible until 64-bit ARM platforms become available to Linaro. This second phase is captured in card 676, which will be presented to the LEG-SC in the future.

Delayed / CR

  • UEFI Network Boot

    • from 2013.06 to 2013.08
    • Jeff: no much choice other than accepting the delay

Roadmap update

  • LEG Roadmap 2013-6.1 (sent by email)
    • Jeff: concern about all those components due for delivery in Q2 so either on Friday 28th or will be late? what is the purpose of issueing an updated roadmap that is not fully correct?
    • Jon: let's issue an update next week by email

Engineering report
